Pleinair Online
Pleinair Online is one of those rare mobile games that feels calm without being empty. You play a wandering artist who moves between small hand-drawn regions, setting up an easel at scenic spots and filling in paintings by matching colours, light and mood. It sounds simple, and the core loop is, but there's a quiet pull to it that kept me opening the app between meetings.
The controls are the highlight for us. Everything is built around one thumb: you tap to place your easel, drag to mix colours, and a long press pulls up a soft radial menu that never gets in the way. There's no twitchy timing, so it plays perfectly on a bumpy bus. The 'Online' part is light and friendly — you can visit other players' galleries and leave a little sketch as a comment, but there's zero pressure and no leaderboards breathing down your neck.
Battery-wise it's very well behaved. In our testing a full hour of painting barely warmed the phone and the frame rate stayed steady even on an older mid-range device. If you want something to unwind with rather than a game that demands your reflexes, this is an easy recommendation.
